Communication is effectively getting a message across to another person. But it also receiving the message from the other person., so you both understand each other. In my 10th grade year, I competed in science fair and we had to find our own mentor. My dad works at the base, so he knew someone who could be my mentor. I asked my dad to ask the person if they could be my mentor and he agreed. Once we got each other’s contact information, I told him what my project was about so I could ideas for an experiment. I also emailed him the science fair timeline so he would be aware of my deadlines. As science fair went on, I would send him my paper so I could get feedback. We even set up a meeting so he could teach me how I could calculate and interpret my data. The communication between me and my mentor lead me to winning a women in STEM award at the district science fair.
