The Dayton Regional STEM School untilzes a unique learning style known as Project Based Learning. PBL is when we use a project to learn about a topic and we learn the content during the project. Opposed to learning all the content prior to the project.  DRSS is a very open place. We have cubbies instead of lockers, because we don’t feel the need to hide our own things from each other. At DRSS we have the 5 Qualities (5Q’s). They are Communication, Inquiry, Persistence, Collaboration and Creativity. I think DRSS emphasizes the 5Q’s, because we would need them in the real world. In all of the jobs I know of you have to communicate with others, and be persistent because there will be moments when you want to give up. This goes for all the 5Q’s.
